5 to 6 cans pork and beans ( 1-lb. each )
1 can tomatoes, chopped, undrained ( 1-lb. )
1-1/2 cups ketchup
1 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 large onions, chopped
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon liquid smoke or barbecue sauce
Mix all ingredients together. Bake, covered at 350 degrees for
2 to 2-1/2 hours or until beans reach desired consistency,
stirring occasionally.
Prepared this dish for
Mother's Day. Everyone requested the same recipe for Memorial
Day weekend.
